The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. robotic vacuum cleaner best did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell if they are working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best choice. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it doesn't have some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once in place, emptying the bin is easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market however, it's costly.
Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that do a really good job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price tag.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive however it comes with more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard floors, as well as a mopping function at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, just snap on one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to a power outlet and ample space for it to move around, however.

The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating heavy materials such as cereal.
