We used this robot to vacuum and mop a mix of pile carpet tiles, FLOR rugs, and hardwood floors within a large, open floor plan. It was able to vacuum and mop the 90 square meters in 170 minutes using FREO Mind enabled. This is a bit more than average for Gen 4 robots.

In our test of how it cleaned baking soda close to corners and on baseboards the Scout RX3 was impressive. Its suction of 2,500 Pa was a bit weaker than other robots, but it moved quickly and was quiet. It didn't mop, and its cleaning pad that was removable was difficult to attach. It also couldn't take on dirt that had dried up.
Its app isn't equipped with advanced features, such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. review does support Alexa, but its voice controls aren't particularly clear or responsive. It's also a bit sporadic when it comes back to the charging station after a run. Other robots can follow the wall or trace the previous route however, the RX3 stumbles around until it gives up.
Another issue we faced was with its intelligent features, specifically the mapping function and digital keep-out zones. It was effective in keeping our furniture legs and shoes away, but it was easily hanging up on cables, socks and carpets. We decided not to include the Scout RX3 in our Best Buy list. However, with a reasonable price and a dazzling performance, the Scout RX3 is worth considering in the event you're looking to find an alternative to the traditional uprights.
